What can we be?

We have the opportunity to re-imagine our educational landscape and rewrite the foundational barriers that separate the "haves" from the "have nots." At this juncture of educational reform, Memphis and Shelby County stand at the epicenter of confronting long-standing challenges.

Shelby County Schools can ...

Prepare all children for a global competitive environment.

Equip teachers with the needed professional development opportunities and skills to better educate our children to compete on a global scale.

Be an agent of change through cultivating a generation of young people who only see each other as uniquely different individuals while seeing one another as partners in building a better future.

Education in Shelby County should be the force that unites us around the common goal of ensuring a better future for our children and future generations. I am asking for your vote for the Unified School Board District #2 on Thursday, August 2nd.
